Grand Rapids, MI, September 6, 2011 - Medbio, Inc., a contract manufacturer for the medical and Biotech industries, has moved to the southeast side of Grand Rapids. "We are extremely excited to have finished the move to our new facility", said John Woodhouse, Sales and Marketing Manager for Medbio. "We were running out of room in the old building, and now we have the space to grow for years to come. The Team really pulled together to make this move a reality."
Medbio's new facility is 55% larger, with additional acreage for expansion. They have also added three new presses and an additional clean room. "We had a clean slate designing this space, and we implemented the lessons we learned over the years", said Woodhouse. "We have a premier facility for medical contract manufacturing and we hope that our focus on quality, service, and value will continue to springboard our growth."

Medbio will be starting the move into our new facility Friday, August 26. We have planned very carefully to insure a smooth transition, but there will be short periods of time when our land lines and internet will be down over the weekend, and possibly, Monday morning. Please feel free to contact us on our cell phones. Thank you for your understanding.
_____________________________________________
We are pleased and excited to announce that Medbio will be moving to a new larger
facility, planned for the end of August 2011.
Due to the recent growth and planned growth in the future, Medbio has signed an agreement
to relocate to a 45,000 sq ft facility closer to the Grand Rapids airport and major shipping
hubs. Our new facility is being designed with our current and future work flows in mind.
We will be adding additional controlled environment areas as well as warehouse
facilities. This space will help us become more efficient.
All our customers' components will continue to be produced on the same Arburg presses,
using their current tools, and processes, only the facility location will change. We
anticipate no more than a week's disruption to our production activities, and we will be
performing "Before & After" qualifications on parts where necessary. We will make this
move seamless to you, our customer.
Our new facility will allow Medbio to continue our world class medical and biotech
manufacturing and customer service. Medbio has seen steady growth over the last few
years and this new facility will support our growth for many years to come.
Our new address will be: 5346 36th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512

WEST MICHIGAN - Looking around the country, John Woodhouse is seeing stock in West Michigan's life science industry on the rise.
As sales and marketing manager at Medbio, a contract manufacturer for the biotech and life sciences industries, Woodhouse is finding that the growing reputation for the region is helping his company gain new business."Business is good, it is really good. I attribute it to getting the name out there. We have our own little medical device Mecca here in town, but we're nowhere near the size of Minneaplolis, Boston or L.A.," Woodhouse said, noting that partnerships with other companies in West Michigan give the area some momentum. "With the West Michigan Medical Device Consortium, Southwest Michigan First, and The Right Place Inc., we have all these little consortiums, and we have always as a group promoted West Michigan. We have the capacity here to do it all. I can't do it all myself, but I can do it all here in West Michigan."
